2 Easy, Fast Valentine’s Day Crafts for Kids

We wanted fast, easy Valentine’s Day Crafts for kids so we headed over to Michaels to buy some supplies and get to work having fun.

What you need:

1. Pre-cut foam hearts
2. Variety pack small foam hearts with sticker backs.
3. Embellishments – flowers, jewels, etc. The ones that already have sticker backs are easier.
4. Non-toxic markers or crayons
5. Non-toxic glue
6. Tape
7. Scissors (adult use only)
8. Ribbon

Valentine’s Necklace (Our toddler who made it insisted that her bear wear the necklace.)

 

What to do:

1. Have your child pick a foam heart.
2. Let your child decorate it with embellishments.
3. Cut a piece of ribbon
4. Tape or glue ribbon to back of heart. (Be sure your child is old enough to wear it & that it isn’t a choking hazard.)

Homemade Valentines 

What to do:

1. Have your child pick a foam heart.
2. Help your child write a message to a loved one.
3. Encourage them to decorate their heart with the little foam hearts or other embellishments.
4. Watch someone’s face light up as they receive their homemade Valentine!
