3 Easy Holiday Crafts for Kids

There are still a few more days until the holidays and these 3 simple, fun holiday crafts are perfect for your children as they start school break.

What you need for the 3 holiday crafts:

  1. Non-toxic paint
  2. Various colors of construction paper
  3. Googly eyes
  4. Non-toxic glue
  5. Buttons
  6. Small red & pink pom pom balls
  7. Scissors (adult use only)

What to do:

Gingerbread Man

  1. Cut brown construction paper into shape of gingerbread man.
  2. Cut 4 strips of paper into “cuffs” for gingerbread man’s arms & legs. If you have pinking shears this will give them a more finished look.
  3. Glue the eyes, nose, “cuffs’  and buttons on the gingerbread man. (To make a gingerbread lady add a skirt or apron)
  4. Draw a mouth.
  5. Hang and enjoy!

Holly Feet

  1. Put a blob of paint on cardboard or other thick paper.
  2. Dip you child’s foot in the paint.
  3. Put footprint on piece of construction paper.
  4. Repeat with other foot to make two holly leaves.
  5. When it dries, add red pom poms for holly berries.
  6. Hang and enjoy!

Reindeer

  1. Put some paint on cardboard or other heavy paper.
  2. Dip your child’s right hand in brown paint for the reindeer’s head and fingers in black paint for antlers and press it on construction paper with fingers facing up.
  3. Dip your child’s left hand in paint and press it on construction paper with fingers facing down.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Add a strip of construction paper for a scarf.
  6. Add googly eyes, pom pom nose and smile.
  7. Hang and enjoy!

    I would love to try the Gingerbread man and Reindeer with my kids! They love crafts!!

    This would make a great activity to do together on Christmas Eve. I’m thinking we could even attach pipe cleaners & hang them on the tree…??
