5 Sites To Help You Save Money with Coupons

April 13, 2011 Budget, Tips 15 Comments

Extreme Couponing has debuted on TLC. You may have seen episodes where people bring coupons to a new level. Through very calculated clipping and strategy, they are able to bring a $400.00 grocery bill down to $60.00 or less and sometimes end up paying nothing. The way they coupon is obviously extreme and not for everyone (the space alone that they need for their “stash” of supplies is definitely beyond the scope of city living in small spaces!).

We have 5 sites that may  not fit extreme couponing, but they certainly help you find the best deals at the click of a mouse.

  1. CouponMom.com – This is almost a one-stop shop with online coupon codes, printout coupons and free samples.
  2. Coupons.com – This site has coupon gold with deals that you would normally find in the Sunday paper.
  3. Coupon Cabin.com – Deals are updated daily so you get the latest and greatest coupons and discounts.
  4. RetailMeNot.com - This user generated community keeps you up to date on what discount codes work and what are bad deals.
  5. Smartsource.com - Get the best local deals and printout coupons to maximize savings on this site.

Have you seen the show Extreme Couponing? What did you think? What practical tips do you have to finding the best deals?

Thank you for these useful sites..I’m just starting to use coupons & have already saved a lot. =)

  5. I also feel the TLC Extreme Coupon program is a bit extreme. I love a great bargain and I use coupons. But stashing away that much is a bit much for me. I believe it is all about what each of us is comfortable with and what our lives would demand if put in a tight spot and we needed to feed our families.

  6. Ola! Kolcraft,
Speaking of which, Cord placenta blood connects you to your baby while it grows. This nutrient-rich tissue developed during pregnancy and is often simply discarded after birth. There are a lot of people who do not realize that there are life saving benefits to get out of saving the cord blood through stem cell transplants.
    Nice One!
