A Creative and Healthy Birthday Cake for Kids

Nowadays, creative cakes are all the rage, and so is sticking to a healthy and nutritious diet. So why not combine the two into a super-creative, super-cute, any-occasion treat?! In today’s blog, we’re showing you how to take a birthday cake to the next – and healthy – level!

One of our Kolcraft moms celebrated her daughter’s first birthday, and made this beautiful watermelon creation to celebrate!

By cutting off the rind of the watermelon and stacking pieces on top of each other she formed the structure of the “cake.” Then, using a cookie cutter, she created flower-shaped pineapple and pinned them to the watermelon with a toothpick and half of a grape.

This yummy and creative alternative helped make the day even more special for everyone!
