Wally Wonderbug Is A Rising Star
Many of you have met and love our Wally Wonderbug. We can’t blame you – he makes your children happy! Wally has become a bit of a star as he has traveled throughout the USA, has been on display at Target and Walmart and now has his own Wally Wonderbug Wednesdays on Twitter where he tweets all day from @Kolcraft.
We wanted to take today’s Kolcraft Thursday for you to get better acquainted with Wally Wonderbug and the benefits he offers your baby. Did you know that Wally’s toys help your child develop basic motor skills?
Singing WonderWorm
The WonderWorm engages your baby with songs, a variety of catch phrases, and lights up to keep your baby enthused. Phrases include:
- “I Love You”
- “Hello”
- “Peek-a-boo”
Butterfly Toy
The butterfly toy has wings that make a crinkling sound, has beads and a mirror inside. The crinkling sound is helpful to babies with their auditory development. Mirrors help babies learn to focus and track images.
Bead Bar Activity
The bead bar not only keeps your baby entertained, but allows baby to play with different textures, shapes and objects.
Flower Toy with Soft Rings
This flower rattle includes textured grab handles and a rattle. Rattles are developmentally positive for your baby because it stimulates your child’s hearing and sight.
Rattle Antennae
These two rattles are the antennae of the Wonderbug. Enjoy watching your baby listening to the rattles and smiling!
Tumble Ball
This brightly colored ball spins and makes noise to capture your baby’s sense of touch and sound.
Spinning Bee Toy
The tri-colored spinning bee allows your child to learn how to turn things. The bright colors stimulate baby’s vision.

Easy Craft for Kids – Wilbur Wonderworm!
Wilbur Wonderworm craft
You may have heard Wally Wonderbug talk about his friend, Wilbur Wonderworm. We wanted to share our easy Wilbur Wonderworm craft with you. It’s a perfect time of year to do this as we await Spring and all the new life & crawling creatures it brings with it!
What you will need:
- Egg carton
- Yellow non-toxic paint
- Black marker
- Googly eyes
- Non-toxic glue
- Pipe cleaner
How to make Wilbur Wonderworm:
- Cut the egg carton into 4 single row egg cups (you can make it longer if you wish).
- Paint the egg carton yellow.
- Write numbers, alphabet letters or your child’s name on the side of Wilbur.
- Glue googly eyes on the front egg cup & draw a smile on it.
- Bend pipe cleaner into antenna and glue to front egg cup.

Last Tuesday we had a Love Bug Twitter Party with Wally Wonderbug. He had so much fun, that he asked to write today’s blog post. He’s such a cute little bug that we couldn’t say no.
Hi Everyone!
I asked Kolcraft to write today’s blog post because I wanted to share with you my new website. I love it because it is a place of wonder and adventure for the whole family!
On my Wonderbug website, you will get to see a really fun demo of my new Wonderbug baby activity center (be sure to have your volume turned up!). Under the Fun Bug tab, you will see a storybook that tells you all about me, my friend Wanda Wonderbug and Wilbur Wonderworm. I will be sharing new adventures so keep checking back for new chapters as we build our magical storybook. There is also a dress up game that your kids can play. As you get to know me, you will see that I LOVE adventures so please dress me and Wanda up for an adventure!
Check out the Travel Bug tab to download coloring pages of me and Wanda. Submit your child’s coloring page to our Cute As A Bug Section and automatically be entered to win prizes! Also in our Travel Bug section there are tips for traveling with children so your kids can stay safe as you go on your family adventures.
In our Cute As A Bug tab you can share photos of your little love bug in my Wonderbug activity center, or photos of your children with my coloring pages and every month we will pull a winner for great prizes! We are still creating this online photo album, but it will be ready on March 1st! YAY!

You may remember me, Wally Wonderbug. I’m all excited because Kolcraft is hosting a Love Bug Twitter party in honor of Valentine’s Day. ( I love parties!)
It will be lots of fun. I will be hosting the party will be giving away my Wonderbug Activity Center and more!

Hi everyone, this is Wally Wonderbug. I wanted to thank you for all the love you have shown me. I am really enjoying meeting so many moms, dads, grandparents and especially babies! I am so happy that you love my Wonderbug Activity Center and the hours of fun that I bring your baby.
I’m really excited about my new website that will be ready really soon. On it you will be able to learn more about me, play games, win contests and so much more. You will learn how much I LOVE to travel and go on adventures. I have been on a few adventures with my friends at Kolcraft & had to share them with you.
There are a lot of hockey fans at Kolcraft and they are serious about their Blackhawks. I got there in time for warm-ups and got to watch from right on the glass. The other fans thought I was cute. *blush*
I earned my feathers at my 1st Blackhawk game!
It was a fun night complete with a Blackhawk shutout!
Marisa from fashion took me horseback riding with her. The horse was very nice and he asked me to come back!
Marisa was a great horseback riding teacher!
I love my new friend!
Ted from New Product Development taught me how to skype. I had fun getting to know his new granddaughter. Isn’t she cute? She loves her Wonderbug Activity Center!

I found out that I really love to ski. Andy from Marketing & Sales was nice enough to let me join his family on their ski trip in Colorado.
Spending time with Danielle. She was so fun!
Andy is fast on the downhill, but I held on tight!

Hi! I'm Wally Wonderbug
For these past few months Kolcraft has given you glimpses of me – Wally Wonderbug. I have gone on all sorts of adventures with Kolcraft and have met a lot of blog moms. Finally Kolcraft has given me the ok to reveal myself to you!
I’m Wally Wonderbug – a happy, friendly bug who is a baby entertainer. I know you and your baby will LOVE me! I have lots of features that will keep you and your baby happy!
Wilbur WonderWorm
- I have a variety of developmental toys and activities to entertain your baby. Many of my toys teach cause and effect relationships, help with hand/eye coordination and increase motor skill activities.
- My good friend, Wilbur WonderWorm has lights, music and sounds that your baby will love!
- My seat bounces and spins 360° so baby can access all my toys.
- I’m height adjustable for growing babies.
- I am also very practical! I easily disassemble for travel & storage.
I also have a friend Wanda Wonderbug! She is a baby entertainer and she has all the wonderful toys that I have for baby. We will be in your favorite retail and online stores starting in January.
Kolcraft is so excited about me that they are giving me my very own website! My website will have an animated video demo featuring me *blush* and it will have all sorts of games and activities for your little ones. There will be lots of contests too! My website will be up in January so please come visit me on it! It will be a great way to start the new year together! Kolcraft even said that they are going to have a Twitter party just for me in February! YAY! I love to party with moms and dads.
