The Easter Bunny will be stopping by this weekend, and we’re getting craft and giving him another place to hide some eggs! Today we have a fun and super-easy Easter Basket DIY.

Materials needed:

photo 1
– Cute paper cups
– Construction paper (green and any other color of your choice)
– Scissors
– Glue/tape
– Cardstock (optional)
– Goodies or eggs to fill

Step one: Start by cutting a strip of colorful paper. We freehanded the measurements, but it should be about 3/4 of an inch wide. Cut a second piece of white cardstock about an inch wide. Write “Happy Easter” or any other message (maybe your kid’s name) on the colorful strip and glue it onto the cardstock.

Step two: Cut the green piece of paper so it’s about as wide as your cup is tall. Cut into one end of it to create the grass effect.

Step three: Using either glue or scissors (depending on your level of patience), place either end of the strips into the cup to create a handle. Next, place the green construction paper around the inside of your cup. Glue or tape it into place.

Step four: Once everything is in place and dry, fill up your cup with Easter goodies!
