  4. Knife (adult use only)

What to do:

  1. Wash grapes.

This is very cute! My girls like everything on this plate! I would probably slice the grapes in half for the toddler to prevent choking though. I’m paranoid, lol.

  25. This looks super fun and very kid friendly! We just got back from Florida so my kids will LOVE the idea of PALM TREES! We don’t get to see those in MICHIGAN.

This is so cute. I like that this is so simple. Most “fruit art” I’ve seen looks like it would take much longer to prepare than I have time for, this is very doable.

Our kids are almost grown now , with the youngest being 12 out of 6. We were lucky in that we didn’t really have picky eaters at all, but STILL it is nice to make mealtime fun for kids! They do remember the extra little mile you go to make them feel special. Our youngest daughter is such a foodie…she is always looking for clever treats to take in for her class. This is such a fun idea for their school BEACH THEME day! This daughter wants someday to be a chef and be a restauranteer. Her key is to find healthy foods for kids and own a restaurant geared for families.

That is a great idea….and a fun way to get picky eaters to snarf down their food.

  40. It might destroy the aesthetics of the project but younger kids (like mine) may need their grapes cut in half so that they don’t choke. I like the project a lot though. :)

  47. This is so awesome! I just had a really great idea once I saw your photo too! My son is 3yrs old & we love to play Pirates together with his Kidkraft wooden pirate ship. There are lots of small scale toys to it like pirate figures, gold coins, cannons & even little wooden palm trees! It would be really cool to set up a plate of fruit just like this along with his palm trees at the other end of the living room so that when we sail the ship along the floor (our sea of shark infested water!) we can get to land and have a snack! SO COOL! :)
