Final
It won’t be too much longer until all the vibrant colors of fall leaves have fallen to the ground and snow blankets the branches. It’s one of our favorite times of the year, and a site we wish we could hold on to even through the chilly winters… And with today’s craft we’ve found a way to do just that! This easy craft will let you and your kids bring the fall indoors.

Materials
What you will need is:
– Coffee filters
– Marker
– Watercolor paint
– Paint brush
– Scissors
– Hole punch
– String/yarn

Trace
Step one: Flatten out your filters and begin to trace leave shapes with a marker. Let your kids use their imagination, or take a nature walk before this activity to get an idea of what shapes to draw!
Paint
Step two: Once you have drawn out a dozen or so leaves, let your kids paint them with their favorite fall colors. Make sure to have them paint and drawn on a protected surface; the coffee filter will bleed very easily.
Step three: Once all of the leaves have been painted, let them dry. Once they are try you can cut them out.
Hole punch
Step four: Punch a hole in the top of each leaf. String them together on the yarn. Tie a knot after each leaf to keep them in place.
Final 2
Last, hang them around the house! They’ll make the perfect decoration for Thanksgiving dinner or family dinners this holiday season!
