Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Kolcraft

March 17, 2011 Events, Holidays No Comments

It’s been said that everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. We found that to be true at Kolcraft as people shared their St. Patrick’s Day traditions.

Family – We gather as a family to celebrate my grandma’s birthday. Even though she was from Poland, she loved St. Patrick’s day so we still have corned beef & cabbage in her honor. – MH

Friends - The Sunday before St. Patrick’s day, we have a big party with our friends. Some friends even come in from out of town! We have a huge spread of food, a real Irish band play at the house and of course Irish dancing.  -CF

Food – Our neighborhood block all gathers in one person’s yard for the annual Irish Soda Bread bake-off. The taste testing is the best part! -MW

However you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, in the words of the Irish toast we wish you – May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings, slow to make enemies, and quick to make friends.

From our family to yours Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
