Kolcraft Voluntarily Recalls Certain Contours Options 3 and 4 wheel stroller models
Today Kolcraft announced a voluntary recall in cooperation with the CPSC. Although we have made many strollers with the name Contours only the models starting with ZL002, ZL005, ZL008, ZL015, and ZL018 are part of the recall. You can find your model number on a paper label found on the top, rear edge of your stroller seat pad or on a sticker on the rear leg of your stroller frame.
A child or consumer’s finger can become caught in the opening formed when locking and unlocking the hinge mechanism which is used to adjust the handlebars on the strollers. This presents an amputation and laceration hazard to children and the adults handling the stroller.
If you have one of these models, please call (800)-453-7673 Monday-Thursday from 8 AM -6:45 PM and Friday 8 AM to 3:30 PM EST to order a free repair kit that will cover the hinge.
The Kolcraft family remains committed to making the best products for your children and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.

I have a contours options 3 stroller that I bought second hand. I can’t find any model numbers on the entire stroller. I’m not sure if it was on the seat back at one point and they trimmed the tags off.
It was manufactured supposedly in 2010. It has the cars eat holder and seat and is 3 wheeled. We have the booklet for it also.
Can I still get the repair part?

Kimberly,
I found ours on a tag on the back of the seat, up under the hood… where the handle to change the position of the seat is at. Our’s was manufactured the same time, but is the ZL019, thankfully.
Is the contour double stroller with 4 wheels also recalled?
Monis – the strollers recalled are the ones listed above ZL002, ZL005, ZL008, ZL015, and ZL018. Thank you
The Contours Tandem strollers should be recalled as well.
1. My front wheels have fallen off several times
2. My daughter has had her finger pinched where the handle bar attaches to the stroller across the child seat (it was close to bleeding)
3. I have to constantly tighten the screw to hold the parents handle bar on
4. The bolt cover that attaches one of the seats to the frame has fallen off, despite being tightened.
Bottom line for me about this stroller: it was a huge disappointment, I would not recommend it to anyone, and I know several other mothers of multiples that have had the same issues with the stroller and dislike it as much as I do.
BWTwins, I’ve had the same exact problems with my Contours Tandem stroller!!! So frustrating!!!!
BW Twins & Denazzle,
This recall is for model ZT012. If you are having problems with your stroller, please call the number above. The reps can help you to see if it was assembled correctly or if there is another issue.

Hey everyone,
I have the ZT012, I just bought it off ebay (unused) and the seller wont accept the return. I’m in the UK and need to contact the manufacturer to see if they will refund it directly.
Natalie, have you managed to get a UK contact number or address?
Kind Regards

Jemma,
Since you did not buy the stroller directly from the retailer, we cannot refund your purchase. You can, however, receive the free fix kit for the recall. Please email Lynn at customer service. Include in your email the model number and date of manufacture from the stroller as well as your address & phone number so she can send you the fix kit.
Lynn can be reached at Ledge@kolcraft.com
Thank you,
Michelle
