Snow is still on the ground, but the sun is finally starting to shine again! Despite the cold, this sight always brings a smile to the Midwesterner’s face because it means that spring is right around the corner! With spring will come walks in our new Cloud umbrella stroller, lighter jackets, and Spring Cleaning! Spring Cleaning is probably the only type of cleaning that we get excited about. That is, until we look at the cost of everything we need for it! So in order to save a few dollars this season without skimping out on the clean, here are some Spring Cleaning hacks to try using regular household items!

Original recipes from

– For the bathroom, try 1 2/3 cup of Baking Soda, 1/2 cup of soap, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1/2 cup of water.
Potty training? Mix together 1/4 cup of Borax and 1 cup of vinegar for a sparkling toilet.
– For some all-purpose cleaner, mix together 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap and warm water.
