Sealy Baby’s Safe to Sleep Campain

Kolcraft and Sealy partnered with SIDS of Illinois last week to be part of Mt. Sinai’s 2nd Annual Baby Shower and to discuss Safe Sleep. The day was filled with a lot of learning and plenty of raffles and giveaways, including Sealy Mattresses. But our main mission was to raise awareness on Safe Sleep and why creating a safe sleeping environment is so important.

Throughout the baby showerdifferent organizations spoke on prenatal care, immunizations, car seat safety, breastfeeding, and safe sleep. SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, is the leading cause of death among infants between one month and one year of age. By spreading awareness on safe sleep environments for newbornsKolcraft and Sealy hope to help reduce the risk of SIDS related deaths.

To help reduce the risk of SIDS and accidental suffocation it is crucial to create a safe sleeping environment.  According to Nancy Maruyama from SIDS of Illinois, the safest place for your baby to sleep is on their back, alone in a safe crib.
