My dad made sure I learned every day stuff and taught me I had no boundaries in what I could do! I hope my grand nephew is taught a lot of different things he can use in life, and not kept to “gender specific” things.

My father has taught me how to be a good person, to be independent, to be kind and caring. I continue to learn from him still as an adult. I have been truly blessed to have my dad. My husband is a wonderful man like my father and I hope our son learns to be just like him.

Unfortunately my father wasnt around too long to teach me much, so I am gratful that my children will have a wonderful father in thier life to teach them everything he can.

My Dad taught me the meaning of forgiveness, not because he was forgiving himself but because after living most of my life without him there and then making the choice to get to know him as an adult I found that I could forgive his absence and love him anyway. We spent several years living near each other and found we had many things in common. We both like spicy foods, and have a weakness for sweets.
I hope that my children will learn to have integrity from their father. My husband is a good man who fears God and loves his family. He works with his hands building and restoring things. He shows pride in his work and is blessed in all that he sets his hand to do.
    Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day! Love reading the nice stories! I shared mine on FB:
My father is a talker. As kids, we’d have to drag him away from events because he would be so engaged in conversation. But after rolling my eyes all these times and urging him to “hurry up!”, I realize what he really taught me was empathy. His storytelling was never to hear his own voice or to win attention. Instead, he would recognize, and really try to reach, each and every person as a special individual. Thanks, Dad, for teaching me compassion!

My dad taught me how to enjoy the great outdoors. WE went camping and fishing all of the time.
