Win Baby Products While Helping Children Who Are Victims of Japan's Earthquake/Tsunami

Imagine your baby crying because he is hungry or she needs her diaper changed, but you can’t soothe baby because you have no food to give him or a new diaper to change her into. Imagine having no shelter, no safe place for baby to sleep all while trying to deal with a possible nuclear meltdown and grief because family members have died and life as you knew it will never be the same.

This is exactly what parents in Japan are dealing with after the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan more than a week ago. As parents and grandparents ourselves, we can’t imagine how overwhelming the situation is over in Japan and we can’t just sit here and do nothing.

Starting today, Kolcraft is having a silent auction for children in Japan in partnership with KIDS – an amazing global charity that has helped millions of children in poverty. They are currently doing a special donation drive for children in Japan.

The silent auction will run until midnight on March 28th CST. This online silent auction works just like a silent auction in “real life”.

  1. In the blog comment section leave the amount of your bid & what product it is for (bids are made in increments of $5.00).
  2. At midnight CST on March 28th the bidding stops. The highest bidder at that time wins the product.
  3. The winner then makes his/her donation to KIDS (our partner) & sends the electronic receipt to
  4. The winner receives a wonderful baby product and in the meantime has helped a survivor in Japan have hope for the future.

If you do not want to bid on any products in the silent auction, but still want to help a Japanese child in need you can give any donation amount to KIDS. No donation is too small to help.
